Volunteering for the ABI Programme

The number of people who volunteer to help deliver the ABI service is enormous… lots of people helping add value… ensuring that everyone gets as much help as they need to move their lives on….

As you would expect in central London there are lots of students. A significant number come from Westminster University. They are Psychology students and their insights as they work alongside the clients are great in helping them understanding their journey of change. Then there are students from the USA. They come to England as part of their University courses, and get credits for their time: two are just about to start in the next few weeks. Then there are people exploring new avenues, perhaps between careers, or considering new careers…its great fun… then there are people who have been out of work for quite a while, people who want to build confidence…

… and they do so many things…. there are opportunities during the day….at the weekend… in the evening…. regular…. one off…or just doing a project…. using existing skills and experience, learning new skills and experience….all giving up their time, all helping…

….and one miniature dachshund…. walking…..
