My first effort at fundraising

I am quite warming to this idea of fundraising. Its so easy to help, and you don't necessarily have to do huge amount, and it doesn't necessarily have to take a long time.....

A couple of days ago, I mentioned my trip to Amarna House in York, where I met Peter Emery of HC-One. He and his wife are a real inspiration. Bhavna has been really poorly since the autumn, but she doesn't let up. She doesn't only focus on herself, but still makes time for others. She is Chair of a charity called Dementia Adventure, and still is managing to do things for them. She is an example to us all.

They rang and asked if we would support a charity that means a lot to them "Bandanas for Brain Tumours". They wanted pictures of people who were prepared to support the cause in bandanas to help raise money.

The first thing I discovered is that to fundraise, you might have to be prepared to make a fool of yourself, and even look a bit (and in some cases delete "a bit") stupid. However......

fundraising suits the cute ones amongst us...

So whether we are cute, or prepared to make people smile (I am not saying Pam isn't cute) please dig deep. After last night, and Sport Relief Lord Coe, and Kylie led the way....we aren't expecting £51m, but every little helps
